Plainville's Distance Runners Make the Difference in Final Meet Loss

May
20

The Plainville distance team scored 30 points to Berlin's 2 points, which proved to be the difference in the meet.  The sprinters and Jumpers had their usual solid days, but injuries, illnesses and school field trips crippled the distance group and left Berlin with only two or three healthy distance runners, to face a very strong Plainville team.  On the positive side, the 4x400m relay team qualified for the state meet and beat the Blue Devel team for the first time in several years.  All three relay teams have now qualified for the State Meet on June 2 at Middletown HS.
